Question about Scrap Trawler
Asked by _Nivek_ 7 years ago
Hey everyone, my first post, Im a returning magic player and im starting to rebuild my collection and have some fun at FNM.
I have a question about Scrap Trawler i cannot seems to find an awnser for. Say i have a Walking Ballista in my graveyard and a Scrap Trawler on the battlefeild. If i sac a (1) converted manna cost artifact would the Walking Ballista (x)(x) converted mana cost be treated as a (0) thus allowing me to bring it back to my hand? Or does the ability trigger put the Walking Ballista on the stack somehow and it becomes a (2) converted manna cost???
Thank you in advance for the help

The converted mana cost of x in all zones, except for the stack, is treated as 0. While a spell is on the stack x will equal what ever you put into it.
In this case, the converted mana cost would be 0.
