Question about Baral, Chief of Compliance

If I have Baral, Chief of Compliance on the battlefield, and Take into Custody in hand, can I put Take into Custody on the battlefield for free? or do I still gotta pay his cost because that's not colorless mana? Thanks!
A small thing to note - Instants and sorceries are never put on the battlefield. Every spell cast or ability activated or triggered goes onto the stack, and any creature, artifact, enchantment, or planeswalker spell will end up on the battlefield when it resolves. Instants and sorceries go straight from the stack to the graveyard upon resolution.

Baral, Chief of Compliance only reduces the generic portion of mana costs. As such, Take into Custody would still cost U, but Negate would only cost U.
