Progenitor Mimic will become a land if copying an animated land, correct?

I just want to be sure that this interaction works as I think it does.
If I animate land (say with a Hydroform or Nissa, Worldwaker ) then cast Progenitor Mimic , having it become a copy of the animated land, it will become a land that is not a creature, but has the ability "At the beginning of your upkeep, if this land is not a token, put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of this land."
Is this correct?

yes.
201.5. If an ability of an object uses a phrase such as this [something] to identify an object, where [something] is a characteristic, it is referring to that particular object, even if it isnt the appropriate characteristic at the time.
