Peel from reality without a creature?

Can I use Peel from Reality w/o a creature on my side of the field?

No when you cast the spell Peel from Reality you must have a legal party for both a creature you control and a creature you don't. if a creature is then removed before the spell resolves the spell will attempt to do as much as it can.

Examples

1: your opponent has a Runeclaw Bear and you have no creatures on the field. You can't cast Peel from Reality because you don't control a creature.

2: You and your opponent both have a Runeclaw Bear on the field. You can cast Peel from Reality .

3: You and your opponent both have a Runeclaw Bear on the field. You can cast Peel from Reality . Before Peel from Reality resolves your opponent casts Doom Blade on your Runeclaw Bear and it dies. Peel from Reality resolves and returns your opponent's Runeclaw Bear to it's owner's hand.

Example 4: You and your opponent both have a Runeclaw Bear on the field. You can cast Peel from Reality . In response, you may cast Cloudshift targeting your Runeclaw Bear . Your Runeclaw Bear will be a new creature, unaffected by Peel from Reality , and your opponent's Runeclaw Bear will be returned to it's owner's hand as Peel from Reality resolves.

A more famous example:

To cast Hex , there must be at least 6 valid targets on the field as you cast it. It doesn't say "up to". Same deal with Peel from Reality .
