Panharmonicon/Wispweaver Angel/Gonti, Lord of Luxury interaction

Asked by 220ave220 8 years ago

Ok, so I've been diving into all this kaladesh stuff and I've been looking at this interaction for a while. Suppose I have a Panharmonicon, Wispweaver Angel, and a Gonti, Lord of Luxury on the field, if another Wispweaver Angel enters the battlefield, could I use it's ability on Gonti, Lord of Luxury and the other Wispweaver Angel, and then repeat this process indefinitely until the opponent's library has been completely exiled? Or would the abilities all stack and nothing exciting happen? Sorry if it's confusing... lol

Ok here's what will happen. Your Wispweaver Angel enters the battlefield, triggering twice. You choose your Gonti, Lord of Luxury, and your other Wispweaver Angel as targets. If you stack the triggers targeting the angel first and gonti second, Gonti will reenter, trigger twice and the triggers will resolve, then your angel will exile and come back, and now you're back at square one. You can rinse and repeat this as many times as it takes if there isn't any interruption.

Let's look at it step by step. On the battlefield you have Panharmonicon, Wispweaver Angel, and Gonti, Lord of Luxury.

  1. A second WA enters the battlefield, with its ability triggering twice, each targeting their respective creatures in whichever order you choose to resolve. For simplicity:

  2. Target on Gonti resolves first, flickering him and making his ability trigger twice, FF'ing to resolve both of them, exiling 2 cards from an opponent.

  3. Target on WA resolves, flickering her, thus triggering her ability twice. Each targeting their respective creatures.

  4. Repeat from step 2 for as many iterations as you see fit.
