Palisade Giant and Damage Reduction

I have a Palisade Giant and Valkmira, Protector's Shield  ^Flip and I am going to take two damage. I know I can order the redirection and the prevention as I choose. If I reduce the damage to me by 1, then redirect the 1 remaining damage to the palisade giant, will Valkmira trigger again and reduce it to 0?

There are multiple replacement effects, so you choose the order they apply in, and they won't apply multiple times.

• If you apply Valkmira before Giant, you'll take 1, which will be redirected to the Giant.
• If you apply Giant first, you'll redirect 2, which will be reduced to 1
