Najeela, the Blade-Blossem and Druids' Repository

Asked by IrishMidgetMan 5 years ago

Ok so I've been seeing this combo mentioned a lot lately and I want to see if my line of thinking it correct or not.

Does Druids' Repository trigger to DECLARED attackers or does it trigger to the tokens that Najeela, the Blade-Blossem creates as well?

The Repository can only trigger off of declared attackers. If a creature is put into play attacking, it bypassed the whole action of being declared an attacker, which is what a card looks for to check whether a creature "attacks."

Part of Najeela's ability actually reinforces this - you might notice that when you pay for her ability, she gives all creatures that attacked this turn haste. Now why would a creature need haste if it already attacked this turn? Because her tokens - which came into play attacking - otherwise still have summoning sickness, and are unable to be declared attackers!

Yes, 3 warriors on the field, counting Najeela, and with Repository out, you can go infinite.
