Hardened Scales + Metallic Mimic

If I have Metallic Mimic out as an elf and I also have a Hardened Scales out will elves come into play with one or two +1/+1 counters?

I'm guessing 2 but wanting verification.

Elves will come in with two +1/+1 counters, as the counters are placed on the creature as it enters the battlefield.
