Master Transmuter bringing the same card back

The title pretty much says it. Can I use Master Transmuter to return Spine of Ish Sah to my hand like the cost to activating the ability says and then have it be a legal target for the ability to bring it right back out, destroying a permanent?

yes you can... returning the artifact is part of the cost of Master Transmuter s effect it hsppens before the effect resolves so you can return the spine to your hand (as part of the cost) then put it into play as part of the effect

Again it is a yes but the reason it is a yes is also because you choose what you're putting into play as it resolves, by the time you've chosen it's too late to respond. And you as has already been said, return the Spine as it's cost, costs are paid as the ability or spell is put onto the stack.

you would have to use master transmuters ability in responce to the spine of ish sahs return ability though

yea you can do it because returning target artifact is part of the cost of her ability so before the ability resolves Ish sah will be in your hand
