Master Biomancer and Progenitor Mimic

MasterProgenitor

So I recently had this come up in a game, and I'm not sure how it would work. Here's how I think it works.

I have 2 master Biomancers on the BF already, one a 12/14 the other a 7/9, I cast Progenitor Mimic onto a Master Biomancer. It would initially enter the BF as a 21/23 because of the other 2 Master Biomancer's effects right?

My real question is what happens when the token gets created, does it just enter as a 2/4 Master Biomancer token, or does it enter as a 40/42 Master Biomancer Token?

The token copy does get the +1/+1 counters, because it is a creature that entered the battlefield.

When Progenitor Mimic enters the battlefield, any Master Biomancer s you have would trigger, and the Mimic would get the according counters. Your first question is correct.

Because the Mimic is now a Master Biomancer with the added token-generation ability, it gives counters equal to its power to creatures entering the battlefield. So your new token in your second question would indeed by a 40/42. If it were to happen again, that token would be bigger, and any tokens following that would just become incrementally larger each turn it happens.

There are three replacement effects that are trying to apply to the Progenitor Mimic as it enters the battlefield - the copy effect and the two Master Biomancer s' effects. Because none of these effects overwrite each other, they will all apply regardless of the order in which you apply them. The end result is a 2/4 Master Biomancer /Progenitor Mimic with 19 +1/+1 counters on it.

The first token it creates will be 2/4 Master Biomancer tokens that gets 40 +1/+1 counters. Subsequent tokens will get counters from all other tokens.

It would enter as a 42/44 because it enters the battlefield the effect will trigger for each biomancer in play.

It's a copy of the creature, so it enters exactly as a Master Biomancer would enter (that is a 2/4 with the same abilities). However, since each one that enters will have the previous ones influencing it, it will get counters for each other one on the battlefield at the time of resolution. Just hope they don't counter/kill the Progenitor Mimic or hit you with a Sever the Bloodline and you're golden.

Closing HTML brackets is important.

Also, note that Master Biomancer 's ability is NOT triggered. It is a replacement effect that modifies the incoming creature as it enters the battlefield.

Right, that that anything with say an Evolve effect would in fact evolve, because the creature that entered (as long as with those +1/+1 counters its power or toughness are greater) is actually that power and toughness entering, correct?

Yes. The counters are placed on the creature as it enters the battlefield, so its P/T from the moment of entrance will be the base P/T plus any modifiers.
