malignus and double strike

opponent life is 20.

i attack with malignus(10/10) and doesnt get blocked. i use Boros Charm to give it doeble strike. How much damage will be dealt?

normaly this would result in 20 but i believe its 15 due to having heard doublestrike is considerd as 2 damage steps.

Can some clarifiy.

I would say 15 total. Combat damage is actually dealt in two steps; First Strike damage, and normal combat damage. Double strike makes a creature deal damage in both steps. So Malignus would deal 10 damage in the first strike step, then its P/T will adjust to the new total of 5, and deal 5 damage in the second step.
