Mairsil and Wishclaw Talisman? How?

Asked by rooktkgaming 5 years ago

I'm seeing this in a lot of Mairsil decks but, how does this interaction work? I thought if Mairsil caged this, there would be no counters?

Can you even use it since Wishclaw specifically says; Remove a wish counter from Wishclaw Talisman?

Please use double square brackets around a card's name to create a link. It's the easiest way to make sure everyone understands what's going on in your question: Mairsil, the Pretender , Wishclaw Talisman

There's no special interaction here. You're right that if the Talisman is caged, Mairsil won't be able to activate the ability because there won't be any wish counters. Wishclaw Talisman would just be another tutor effect for a Mairsil deck (which is still very useful for a deck like that).

My bad, and yeah I was just curious why people were running it. It's a budget tutor though, so I suppose that's good too.
