Lure & Flying

Asked by shelldell 9 years ago

If I cast Lure on my flying creature, say Birds of Paradise, and attack with the Flying Lure and with generic Fatty while the opponent does not have any creatures with Flying / Reach, what happens? Are the enemy creatures off the hook & free to block Fatty since they're not able to block the Flying Lure, or are they unable to block anything while the Flying Lure is attacking?

I'm guessing the former but I'd appreciate some clarification. Thanks!

The biggest thing with Lure effects is the line "if able." So if your opponent has no creatures with flying/reach, then their creatures can block as normal.

Ah, that's a bit of a shame but it makes sense.

Thank you for the swift response and have a good night.
