Jeskai Ascendancy

Asked by Pheonix11235 9 years ago

If I were to play Akroan Crusader with Jeskai Ascendancy on board, then cast something that would trigger the Akroan Crusader 's heroic trigger, would that token get the +1/+1 effect from the Ascendancy? (I know you can stack the triggers however you want, but the second question informs the first) Also what would happen if I cast a spell, then let the trigger from the Ascendancy resolve. After that I play another creature. Would that creature also get the +1/+1 (or more depending on how many casts before the creature entered the battlefield)?

Like you said you can stack the two "when you cast" triggers as you want so if you let the heroic trigger resolve first the newly created token will get the +1/+1 when the Ascendancy trigger resolves.
The answer to the second question is no. What Jeskai Ascendancy does affects only the creatures present get the static buff so creatures that were not on the battlefield to receive the buff won't get anything.

As a follow up question, can I stack the triggers like this? (Akroan Crusader and Jeskai Ascendancy on board.)

1) Cast a spell that targets Akroan Crusader

2) Stack triggers: (Creature) -> (+1/+1 and untap) -> (first casted spell's effect)

3) Cast a second spell in response to the (+1/+1 and untap) going on the stack to have:

4) (Creature) -> (Creature)-> (+1/+1 and untap) -> (second casted spell's effect) -> (+1/+1 and untap) -> (first casted spell's effect)

5) repeat steps 3 and 4 to get to 6

6)(Creature) -> (Creature) -> (Creature) -> -> (+1/+1 and untap) ->(third casted spell's effect) -> -> (+1/+1 and untap) -> (second casted spell's effect) -> (+1/+1 and untap) -> (first casted spell's effect)

Yeah you can, because they all trigger on casting the spell not it resolving.
