Is this order of triggered abilities correct? (Corpsejack Menace, Modular & Dismantle)

Battlefield

I now play Dismantle on Arcbound Stinger, do I resolve the triggered abilities correctly?

First of all there is only one trigger here. Arcbound Stinger has a modular trigger while the rest of the cards have replacement effects. The most important fact to figuring out what happens is how multiple replacement effect work. The controller of the object being affected (effected?) chooses the order in which the replacements are applied. In this case it makes sense to apply the Hardened Scales effect first the Corpsejack Menace to get an extra counter. Anyway here is how this will work:

  1. Dismantle puts 2, which becomes 6, counters on to Vault Skirge.

  2. Modular triggers and puts 2, which also becomes 6, counters on Vault Skirge.

Yes, but note that Corpsejack Menace's ability and Hardened Scales's ability are replacement effects, not triggered abilities. You can apply them in the order of your choosing, but the order you described is the optimum way to apply them.

@lordoftheshadows: "Affected" means "to be influenced or modified by." "Effected" means "to be put into practice."

You effected the rules change, which affected the game.

@Epochalyptik Thanks, grammar isn't my strong suit.

Pretty much.

First, Dismantle will resolve, destroying Arcbound Stinger. You decide to place the two +1/+1 counters on Vault Skirge. Corpsejack Menace and Hardened Scales each have a replacement effect, so you get to choose in what order they are applied. Applying Hardened Scales' effect first would result in three +1/+1 counters, which would then be double by Corpsejack Menace's effect (The opposite would result in five +1/+1 counters). Right now, you have a Vault Skirge with six +1/+1 counters on it.

As Arcbound Stinger is destroyed, its Modular ability triggers and is placed on the stack after Dismantle has resolved. Again, choosing to put the +1/+1 counters on Vault Skirge and applying Hardened Scales' replacement effect before Corpsejack Menace's will result in six +1/+1 counters being placed on Vault Skirge.

At the end of all this, you have a Vault Skirge with twelve +1/+1 counters on it.

Thanks a lot for your replies and clarifications! One last question though, @lordoftheshadows, although it wouldn't make a real difference, you handled "both" Dismantle effects first. But wouldn't the destruction of Arcbound Stinger activate its triggered ability before Dismantle can put counters on target artifact?

Oh, and @nighthawk101 handled it in the same order. Why? Does the complete Dismantle card need to be fully "processed" before anything else can be triggered?

Nothing ever interrupts the resolution of a spell or ability. Abilities that trigger during a resolution are only put onto the stack after the resolution is complete.

Also, triggered abilities trigger; they aren't activated. Only activated abilities can be activated.
