Is Soldier of Pantheon safe from Supreme Verdict?

Is Soldier of Pantheon safe from Supreme Verdict ? I have heard that he is not but I don't get why. If Brave the Elements stops Supreme Verdict why wouldn't Soldier of Pantheon's Protection from Multicolored?

Brave the Elements doesn't stop Supreme Verdict .
Protection does a few very specific things. Protection from X means:
- Damage that would be dealt to this object by a source or quality X is prevented.
- This object can't be enchanted or equipped by an object of quality X.
- This object can't be blocked by creatures of quality X.
- This object can't be the target of spells or abilities of quality X.
Protection has nothing to do with destruction, so Soldier of the Pantheon will be destroyed by Supreme Verdict because Supreme Verdict doesn't do anything protection would stop.

@twospires: Protection also stops equipping; it isn't just enchanting.

@Epochalyptik: Thanks. I just pulled up the first card with protection that came to mind to make sure I got the list right. Knight of Infamy doesn't say anything about equipping, but it makes sense.

Granted, protection rarely interferes with equipment because there are few instances of protection from artifacts or instances of colored equipment. However, it's still relevant.

Protection does the following:
Damage (Takes no damage from multi-colored source)
Enchantment (Cannot be enchanted by multi-colored enchantments)
Block (Cannot be blocked by multi-colored creatures)
Target (Cannot be targeted by multi-colored spells)
Supreme Verdict does NOT meet any of the above requirements for protection

I'm not sure where you heard that Brave the Elements stopped Supreme Verdict but your critters would still die. Protection stops only a certain few things:
Being targeted by a spell or ability of what it has protection from.Being blocked by a creature of the (type/color) of what it has protection from. All damage that is dealt to a creature with protection from a color from a source of the protected color is prevented.
Any creature with protection from a color cannot be enchanted or equipped by auras or equipment of that color.
Protection from a color doesn't prevent a creature from being destroyed by an effect that was created by spell of the protected color. Because Supreme Verdict doensn't target anything it will still destroy all creatures that have protection from white, blue, multicolored or anything else.

Protection has these attributes: It makes it so that the thing with protection (in this case, Soldier of the Pantheon ), can't be targeted, dealt damage, blocked, or enchanted by anything that it has protection from (multicolored). Supreme Verdict doesn't target, deal damage, block, or enchant. It just destroys everything, so your soldier wouldn't be safe. Brave the Elements wouldn't help, either.
