Is Dralnu, Lich Lord a wizard?

This might be a dumb question but in the oracle text here: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=113541 it says he is a zombie wizard. Was this erratad to make him a wizard and if so why? It seems very arbitrary and confusing for someone unfamiliar with the oracle text, especially in cases like wizards tribal edh where creature typing might matter.

The oracle text is always the current wording, and cards are always treated according to their oracle text.

"Lord" is no longer a subtype. It was originally used so cards with static abilities wouldn't apply those effects to themselves (see Elvish Champion). Creatures that had the subtype "Lord" have received errata to give them the appropriate types and to modify the abilities accordingly.

To take the above example, Elvish Champion originally read,

Creature - Lord

All Elves get +1/+1 and have forestwalk. (They're unblockable as long as defending player controls a forest.)

It now reads,

Creature - Elf

Other Elf creatures get +1/+1 and have forestwalk. (They can't be blocked as long as defending player controls a Forest.)
