lets say i have Into the Wilds in play, i reveal my top card, it's a land, and i play it. if the next card i draw is a land am i allowed to also play that land?

Into the Wilds allows you to put the land on to the battlefield. It doesn't say "play". Therefore, a land you put out with Into the Wilds does not count as playing your land for the turn. If you have a land in hand, you may play it as well.
