interactions between Colossus Hammer and +flying cards.

so i was just curious if Colossus Hammer would prevent you from using another card to add flying to a creature?
say i have a creature... i equip it with Colossus Hammer then i equip it with something like Cobbled Wings
would it get flying then, seeing as C.H. doesn't say "Cannot Gain/Get/Have Flying... i would assume the creature then could... but obviously, not if you played C.W. then C.H... as C.H. would then negate the C.W.....

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but it got me thinking, how does this sort of thing interact with multiple instances of a thing? If I have a Storm Crow equipped with a Cobbled Wings (because I am clearly a man of dizzying intellect), then equip it with a Colossus Hammer , does the crow lose both "instances" of Flying?

The Crow loses flying. When an effect removes a particular ability, it removes all instances of that ability with earlier timestamps.
112.10b Effects that remove an ability remove all instances of it.
112.10c If two or more effects add and remove the same ability, in general the most recent one prevails. See rule 613 for more information about the interaction of continuous effects.

Your thoughts are right. It depends on what order you equip the Colossus Hammer and use the "gains flying" effect. If you use the "gains flying" effect last then the creature has flying. If you equip the Hammer last then it doesn't have flying.
Ability granting & removing effects apply in the same "layer" for figuring out an object's characteristics. If more than one effect is trying to apply in the same layer and they aren't dependent on each other in any way (I won't go into the details on dependencies since it doesn't matter in this example), you apply them in timestamp order, oldest first.
