If Warren Instigator is left unblocked, can I put 2 goblins from my hand onto the battlefield?

Warren Instigator has double strike. It says whenever it deals damage to an opponent.

Say that Warren Instigator was left unblocked when I attacked with it. Does that mean that I get 2 goblins since it dealt damage twice?

Yes, one in each combat damage step to be precise.

This is why it's often fun to throw double strike into some decks (via Fireshrieker if nothing else). There was a Daily MTG article on it, actually: Fun wth double strike for other ideas.
