If I counter spelled a Temur Charm that was countering a spell I played, Do I still pay the 3 colourless???

I was playing Against a friend and this problem occured, we argued but found no answer. help???

If the spell isnt resolving you do not need to pay the 3 colorless

Long answer: If you counter a spell, it is effectively stopped completely. If your opponent lets the Counterspell they were casting get countered, whatever they were countering is not countered.
Short answer: No.

If you counter Temur Charm it doesn't resolve and you do not have to pay the additional
. When Counterspell resolves it counters a spell, when Mana Leak resolves it will counter whatever spell it's targeting unless its controller pays
, but until they resolve they don't do anything.
