If Aurelia, the Warleader dies during the first turn she attacks, is there still a 2nd combat step?

I'm thinking there would be since it's activated when she attacks. But then again, how can there be if she's dead which is why I'm a little confused.

You still get the additional combat phase. When Aurelia attacks, and before blockers are declared, the ability will trigger, go on the stack, and resolve. Even if your opponent responds by destroying Aurelia, the ability will still resolve.

Yes, A triggered ability doesn't care if the source still exist when it resolve, unless specified.

The only way to stop it from resolving would to be to Stifle it, which there are no ways to do so in Standard at the moment :)
