How Many Times Can Sphinx's Tutelage Trigger Off a Single Draw?

Asked by Sousaphonist 8 years ago

Does the "repeat this process" part of Sphinx's Tutelage include the "repeat this process" clause itself, allowing it to continuously trigger until its terms are not met?

With repeating effects, in general you repeat the whole block of text which contains the words. So, assuming the opponent reveals two green cards, the process will be repeat once more. If the next two cards are a land and green card, there will not trigger any more repetition.

Ergo, repeat until the conditions for the repetition are no longer true. In the best case scenario, if the opponent has no lands in their library and they are only playing green cards in the deck, you will put their whole library into the graveyard.

Note that the repetition does not involve any triggers. This all takes place during the resolution of that ability; the ability's trigger condition doesn't even have anything to do with milling.
