How does Ninjutsu and Sleeper agent work?
Asked by wreckedd 12 years ago
So I gave an enemy player Sleeper Agent they then responded the following turn by Ninjutsuing Ninja of the Deep Hours in, does Sleeper Agent return to mine or their hand?
It'll go to your hand.
702.47a:
Ninjutsu is an activated ability that functions only while the card with ninjutsu is in a players hand. Ninjutsu [cost] means [Cost], Reveal this card from your hand, Return anunblocked attacking creature you control to its owners hand: Put this card onto the battlefieldfrom your hand tapped and attacking.

I am pretty sure there isn't a magic card and there never will be a magic card that allows you to put other peoples cards into somebody else's hands...

Yeah that was what I thought, it was just the wording on Ninja of the Deep Hours made it seem like it was the controllers hand rather than the owners.

Yeah the reminder text of some abilities shrinks it down assuming you know some facts like that one. They would have to increase the text box for some cards like that one if they put the entire ruling on it :P

I worded that terribly, they attacked with Sleeper Agent the next turn and it got through unblocked allowing him to ninjutsu.
