Hexproof creatures
Asked by VegetaWins_015 11 years ago
If I attack or block with a hexproof creature does it have protection from Deathtouch?
actually it doesn't have protection at anything.
It just can't be "target"ed by your opponent's spells or abilities.

oh so it cant be targeted by just your opponent? what about a creature such as Olivia Voldaren ?

Olivia Voldaren abilities cannot target creatures with hexproof, so a Witchstalker can be targeted by either of Olivia Voldaren s abilities. due to what the reminder text on Witchstalker says:
"This creature can not be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control"

also deathtouch is not an ability, rather it is a keyword defining a trait of the card in question... so it won't be stopped by hexproof or shroud for that matter.

The full definition of hexproof is that it can't be targeted by spells or abilities your opponents control (this is usually included in the reminder text of the card). If your opponent controls Olivia Voldaren then he will also control the activated abilities when he activates them, and they can't target hexproof creatures you control.

sorry, my first comment should have read: "so a Witchstalker CAN"T be targeted by either of Olivia Voldaren 's abilities" missed that typo during preview....

Negative. Only things that "target" it can be protected against by hexproof.
