hangarback walker and dromoka's command

A friend and I were playing a game the other day and we were discussing hangarback walker and putting a +1+1 counter on it and began to discuss if this counted toward the thopter tokens generated from he death of a hangarback walker? can anyone help us with the answer to this ?

You can use double square brackets to link cards. It's the easiest way to make sure everyone reading your question knows what's going on: Hangarback Walker, Dromoka's Command
All +1/+1 counters are the same, and any effect that cares about +1/+1 counters will treat all of them equally regardless of where they came from. The reason the game doesn't try to distinguish between them in any special way is because it would quickly become a major pain to keep track of for no real benefit. The counter given by Dromoka's Command in your example will count towards Hangarback Walker's "dies" trigger.

It's plain and simple. The +1 +1 counters from Dromoka's Command count towards Hangarback Walkers death trigger. So if Hangarback Walker had 2 counters and you placed one more on it before it died you would place 3 thopters onto the battlefield.
