Gut Shot + Quicken Worldfire?

if my opponent plays Gut Shot (for 2 life) then uses Quicken to cast Worldfire at instant speed do i lose the game?

Well that sounds like some crazy combo but yes you do lose the game.

Yes. Worldfire will resolve before Gut Shot , making each player's life total 1. It will not exile spells currently on the stack. Then Gut Shot will resolve, and (assuming they targeted you) you will lose the game.
