Exile Edgar, Charmed Groom when he hits graveyard?
Asked by Shwang 3 years ago
Hi all, If I have instant speed exile from graveyard (Honored Heirloom for example), can I respond to the trigger of Edgar, Charmed Groom Flip dying and transforming by exiling him before he transforms? Thanks

Polaris thanks for the response! And Caerwyn this is my first time back on the site since I asked the question, but I'll remember that for future questions :)

Yes. Triggers use the stack, so when Edgar, Charmed Groom Flip dies, its trigger goes on the stack and there's a round of priority. If you have an instant-speed effect that can remove the card from the graveyard, the trigger won't find Edgar when it resolves and nothing will be returned to the battlefield.
