Does tapping Zhu-taa Druid for Holdout Settlement trigger its second ability?

Asked by BathChub 8 years ago

Okay, so say I plop down both Zhur-Taa Druid and Holdout Settlement the same turn. Since I can tap the druid for the settlement's second ability, does that count as tapping the druid for mana, since I am using it to pay the cost of a mana ability?

No, you're tapping the Druid to pay for a cost to activate an ability on a land you control.

The land's ability is the one producing the mana, not the Druid.
