does suppression field add 2 mana to activate abilities that don't start of with a mana cast?

Say they have Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker , and I have Suppression Field down, does it make kikijiki cost 2 mana to tap with it's ability? The debate is that kikijiki doesn't start off with a cost to activate its ability so.... can the cost be added?

Cards are almost always templated in such a way that they tell you specifically which attributes of the game that they're affecting.

if Suppression Field only applied to abilities that already had a mana cost it would say

Activated Abilities that cost mana cost an additional 2 more to activate

but it doesn't make that stipulation, therefore, it applies to ALL activated abilities, including Kiki-Jiki's
