Does Quicksilver Dagger trigger player damage triggers?

So I've been working on a combo that would use say Quicksilver Dagger on a Cephalid Constable. Would tapping him for that one damage also allow me to put a target permanent back to the opponent's hand? If you know any way could you link me to the rule text?

Not in this case, no. Cephalid Constable very specifically says "deals combat damage to a player". Quicksilver Dagger will cause the constable to deal damage to a player, but effect-based damage is never combat damage.
If you were to put Quicksilver Dagger on something like Order of Yawgmoth, which specifically reads "deals damage to a player", then it would work.
