Does Omnath, Locus of Mana keep mana when you pass the turn?

Asked by ZombieTribalFTW 7 years ago

When I float mana to buff him does the power and toughness and mana stay or does it disappear once I pass my turn?

Nope, I'm pretty sure it stays in your pool. Actually, I'm definitely sure, there's a ruling on it http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=197759. Hope this helps!

Mana only ever empties as steps and phases end, so yes, you will retain it over multiple turns if you don't spend it. Questions like these are usually answered right in the Gatherer rulings, which is why you want to look at those first:

You can keep green mana in your mana pool indefinitely while Omnath is on the battlefield. That means if you add a green mana to your mana pool during one step or phase, you can spend it during a later step or phase, or even a later turn. Other types of mana will continue to empty from your mana pool as each step and phase ends.

Alright, thanks for the help. I'll end up picking a couple Omnaths up soon then for my deck strategy
