Does cascade stack?

Asked by XabrrSam 5 years ago

If I cast a card with cascade and use that to summon another card with cascade, does it continue?

It does indeed, as Cascade casts the spell, which is all that is necessary to trigger Cascade once more. This play pattern is integral to The First Sliver decks, in fact

Omniscience_is_life Thank you. That's actually what I was looking into making. So If I would cast that card I would continue until there's something with equal or higher mana?

As per Cascade's rulings, yes :)

The pronoun in reply #2 is a bit ambiguous. If you cast The First Sliver you will cascade, but sliver spells will not yet have cascade since it is not on the battlefield. Once The First Sliver is on the battlefield the next sliver spell you cast will cause a chain reaction of cascades until you hit a non-sliver or one of the cascades has nothing it can cast.
