Does a creature untap when it is transformed?

Bloodline keeper has "B: transform bloodline keeper...." in addition to a tap ability. So I guess what I'm asking is twofold: 1) can a creature transform if it is untapped2) if so, does a creature untap when transformed

Bloodline Keeper  ^Flip

1) Yes, it can transform even if it is tapped, only if it fulfills the requirements for transformation. In your case, "B: Transform Bloodline Keeper  ^Flip " can only be activated if you control 5 or more Vampires.

2) Transformed cards retain their state(s) and any Auras (Enchant), Equipments, counters and damage (if applicable) marked on them. So for your question, if you transformed Bloodline Keeper  ^Flip , it will remain tapped if it was tapped when transformed.

FUnny story, I ran into this situation in a tournament h while playing against vampires. Still lost that game, though.
