Do I lose from getting milled with Balustrade Spy?
Asked by mtg_deckmaster 12 years ago
If I were to play a Balustrade Spy (or Undercity Informer ) and use the milling ability on myself, would I lose if I did not have any lands in the deck?

You would not lose until you drew a card and had no cards in your library to draw.

You only lose if you must draw a card from an empty library. Simply milling won't cause you to lose the game.

You wouldn't lose immediately but if no lands were left in your library then the rest of your library would be put into the graveyard. Then you would lose the next time you had to draw.

@ Epochalyptik. Why do I see Pokemon cards when I look at Balustrade Spy or Undercity Informer on your post?! lol

April Fools joke. The site subbed Pokemon cards for all mouseover images yesterday.

You only lose due to mill if you would attempt to draw a card from an empty library. You can't lose to mill from either Balustrade Spy or Undercity Informer because neither causes you to draw anything.
