Do creature tokens go to the graveyard?
Asked by normalman 12 years ago
If i have Mortal Combat on the field, would the destroyed tokens that i had count?
I don't believe they do as effects that return creatures from the grave Emeria, The Sky Ruin can't target them because their not their. I suppose it's because their just copies (like a clone) of another card and not true creatures so they don't die and go the he grave yard.

@Uzumaki1: The tokens do hit the graveyard, but they cease to exist the next time state-based actions are checked. Additionally, tokens that leave the battlefield cannot be returned to the battlefield.

Epochalyptik I knew they hit the grave yard but then ceased to exist but I think my explanation got a bit messed up. I was actually going to tag you in the message as I was pretty sure you'd know for defiant but I couldn't remember how o spell your name.Sorry for any confusion.

Yes, but tokens hit the graveyard, then immediately cease to exist as a state-based effect, so you can't respond to them doing so, and they wouldn't count towards non-immediate triggers like Mortal Combat's.
So, yes they hit the graveyard, but not they wouldn't count towards Mortal Combat's body count.
