Daxos of Meletis: Second ability in Commander

When you resolve Daxos of Meletis' second ability in a Commander game, can you cast an exiled card with mana cost that isn't your Commander's color identity?

For example: The exiled card is Thundermaw Hellkite, which has RR in its cost. Are you allowed to cast it and spend mana as though it were mana of any color? Or would your lands just produce colorless mana?

Please link all cards in your question: Daxos of Meletis

The second ability changes how you can spend mana, not how it is produced. As you tap your lands they produce the color of mana that they normally would, but you are allowed to spend it to pay for any color.
