Cycling/invoke Mechanic?
Asked by chowline 12 years ago
Am i allowed to use the cycling mechanic and the invoke mechanic at instant speed or are they sorcery speed?
In fact, the newer version of Mulldrifter (from Commander, which is the picture that comes up on its name) shows the updated wording to say "cast".

Cycling is Instant-speed.
I'm assuming you mean "evoke", as with Mulldrifter and such. Despite what it says on the older versions of the card (before the terminology update), Evoke lets you cast the creature for a different cost. Since you're still casting the creature, you have to obey all timing restrictions associated with that creature. Unless the creature has Flash or you've turned on card:Alchemist's Refuge or something else, you can only Evoke at Sorcery-speed.
