Crewing Just for the Benifits

So let's say it's your endstep and I have a Fallowsage and a Ballista Charger out. Can I tap the Fallowsage to crew the Charger just to draw the card from Fallowsage and then move on to my turn after yours? Or in another instance, can I tap King Macar, the Gold-Cursed on your endstep to "half crew" Aradara Express so that on my untap phase I get the King Macar trigger? I'm not looking to fully crew to make the artifact a creature, just to get the tap or untap trigger from creatures.

You have to pay the full crew cost in order to tap any creatures for a crew cost. If you can pay the full cost there is nothing stopping you from doing it on an opponent's end step, but you can not make "partial payments".
