creature change, being anthemed, with lethal damage.

So I have a mtg rules question, which involves 2 separate check of SBE's here is the question/scenario: under your control you have Olivia Voldaren , a Stromkirk Captain , and any non vampire creature with a toughness of 1. Since Olivia ping ability changes the targeted creature into a vampire, will it die if pinged? The ping ability is lethal damage, but since the creature becomes a vampire during the full resolution of olivias ability, it is a vampire with lethal damage on it as the game checks, but it also gets +1/+1 from the stromkirk captain for now being a vampire, putting it out of lethal range. So.... what happens?

I'd say that it'll stay alive since SBA:s are only checked next time player receives priority but Stromkirk Captain has a static ability so it's always active. So when Olivias ability resolves state based actions will go and check if there's damage marked on any creature but at that point the creature is already a vampire and SBA:s will see a x/2 creature with one damage thus not killing it.

Ah right, totally spaced static abilities, I should go to bed, obviously I can't play magic right now.
