Counters on an Inkmoth Nexus

Asked by TheGodofNight 9 years ago

I remember reading somewhere that +1/+1 counters put on a converted Inkmoth Nexus don't fall off when it becomes a land again. For the life of me, I don't recall the source. So the short version is this, if I ramp up an Arcbound Ravager, and then sacrifice it to itself while it has 5 counters on itself, then move all the counters to an activated Inkmoth Nexus, at the end of my turn, do those counters fall off of it when it becomes a land again, or does it retain them. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the counters remain. Counters of any kind (+1/+1, Charge, Loyalty, etc) remain on a permanent as long as is on the battlefield. It doesn't matter if the permanent changes types.
