Coordinated Assault's Interaction with Zada, Hedron Grinder

Asked by TheAmazingSalsa 8 years ago

This question goes to any instant or sorcery that has more than one target creature.

Let's say I have a Zada, Hedron Grinder on the board and two more creatures. When I cast Coordinated Assault targeting Zada, Hedron Grinder and another creature, Coordinated Assault will be copied twice, each one targeting the other creatures.

My question is, Can I choose the second target for each copy? If now, will one of my copies fizzle? Thank you for you time and sorry if it got confusing.

Zada, Hedron Grinder only copies if the spell is targeting only him. So if you cast Coordinated Assault targeting him and another creature nothing happens. If you cast it targeting just him, you get a copy for each other creature targeting just that other creature.
