Converted Mana Cost of Morphed Creatures?

I want to make a deck surrounding Scornful Egotist but I am confused at what happens in these scenarios:
If I use Burnt Offering on Scornful Egotist while it is FACE DOWN, will I gain 3 mana or the full 8 mana? Why?
The same goes for cards like Necroplasm (does a face down creature have a CMC of 3 or 8?), Rush of Knowledge , Exile into Darkness , Pyrostatic Pillar , etc.
Actually, face-down creatures are considered to have NO converted mana cost, so none of that will work.

I forgot to ask, if I cast Scornful Egotist face down and it is countered, is it worth 8 mana or 3? For the purpose of Scattering Stroke

A face down creature spell has a converted mana cost of 0 when it is on the stack. If Scattering Stroke counters a face down spell, its delayed trigger will add no mana to your mana pool when it resolves.

A face down creature has no mana cost, therefore its converted mana cost is 0. If you cast Burnt Offering and sacrifice a face down Scornful Egotist , no mana will be added to your mana pool on resolution.
