condem in commander games

Asked by PurplePuppetmaster 9 years ago

This has been the bane of almost all commanders since it puts them on the bottom of the library getting them back is sometimes a pain. I heard today that now if you used a card like condem, time ebb or unsummon that a player can choose to just return the commander to their commander zone. is this true?????

That is true; this is a change which was made the Commander Rules Committee back in March. Prior to then, commanders would just end up in the library/hand/wherever. Since the change, you may instead put your commander in the command zone.

You can always check the current Commander rules and banlist here.

Yes, the rules committee changed the "tuck rule" a few months back. If your commander were to be put in any zone, graveyard, exile, hand, or your library you may instead put it into the command zone.

I personally hate it
