CMC with Trinisphere

I think I know the answer, but I want to be sure.

Does Trinisphere change the converted mana cost of spells less than three mana to 3?

No. Nothing ever changes a spell's CMC. CMC is always derived from mana cost (the value printed in the card's upper right corner).

OK. Thank you. I was hoping I could create a lock with Trinisphere and Chalice of the Void set to three, but now I know that doesn't work.
