Can you still trigger Grothama, the All-Devouring if he's hexproof?

Had a game last night where one of my opponents had a hexproof Grothama and was wondering if its ability is still useable? Or is it now a 10/8 that only its controller can fight?

Neither of its abilities target, so yes, hexproof has absolutely no effect on its function. You just won't be able to target it with damage or kill spells to get an advantage on its death trigger.
