Can Split second make a spell uncounterable?

Say I cast a Doom Blade but before passing priority to my opponent I cast a Krosan Grip . Can he/she counter the Doom Blade with the Krosan Grip on the stack?

You're sort of correct. You can maintain priority after casting Doom Blade and put a Krosan Grip on the stack (assuming you have a legal target for it). While that Krosan Grip is on the stack, it's true no one can touch your Doom Blade.

What you're failing to account for, however, is that there's a round of priority after each item on the stack resolves. Once Krosan Grip resolves, everyone gets another chance to put spells on the stack, and without Krosan Grip on the stack, they have full rights to do. Your Doom Blade will be susceptible to counterspell again at that point. Tough luck :(
