can i use Trade Routes to return Terramorphic Expanse to my hand and still get a land?

what happens when i tap Terramorphic Expanse to search for a basic land and in response to that i use the fist effect of Trade Routes ?

Sacrificing Terramorphic Expanse is part of the cost of searching for a land. Once you pay the cost of activation Terramorphic Expanse will have already been sacrificed and will not be on the battlefield for you to target with Trade Routes .
