Can I use Nantuko Husk and Vexing Devil the way I want?

Like the title suggests, I am wondering if I can sacrifice an incoming Vexing Devil to a Nantuko Husk, if an opponent chooses for the devil to be sacrificed - all this to do 4 damage to an opponent and get +2/+2 for a turn on the husk. The way both cards are worded makes me think this is possible but I wanted to confirm it with someone who is better at magic than I am. So I ask, the Internet.

No.

When an ability or spell has begun resolving, it resolves in its entirety. There is no point in the game where you can react to your opponent's choice.

You could sac the Devil before its ability resolves, but then it doesn't matter, as the Devil wouldn't be in play anymore.

If you sacrifice the Vexing Devil with it's ability still on the stack your opponent may choose to have it deal 4 damage to them, but most likely they won't, for obvious reasons.
