Can I take out a blocking creature with an instant before it deals damage to my creature?

'Sup. Can I destroy a blocking creature by dealing damage to it before it deals damage to my attacking creature? Or is the damage dealt at the same time as combat damage?

Yes, you can.

Between each stage in the combat steps priority gets passed. So, you have the following:

Declare attack phase

Declare attackers

Declare block phase

Declare blockers

First strike damage is dealt (if any first or double strikers)

Regular damage is dealt.

Any time you see a in the steps, you are free to chuck a Searing Spear or other instant speed spell or affect.

yes but if you do it no damage would be done to the attacker creature that got blocked and the blocking creature you removed

you can do that, but once the creature is blocked, it is still considered blocked and deals no combat damage to the opponent. for example: I have a Grizzly Bears attacking and you declare a Alpha Myr as the blocker. before damage is dealt, I Doom Blade the Alpha Myr . When damage is dealt, the Grizzly Bears is still considered blocked and deals no damage to you, even though the myr is now in the graveyard.
